Bitcoin Return Policies
All transactions with EastWestHydro are denominated in USD. Returns and exchanges will be provided in USD only, per our return policies below. As an example, if you use Bitcoins to make a purchase with us and later require a refund, we can make the refund to you in Bitcoins, however we'll use the latest exchange rate. Ultimately, the order originated in USD and will be handled in USD in the future at the most recent Bitcoin exchange rate, as determined by our 3rd-party Bitcoin exchange/processor. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about how to get Bitcoins and make a purchase.
Bitcoin Processing Fees
We currently require a 2.9% processing fee for Bitcoin transactions. This processing fee is to defray the costs we incur with our Bitcoin exchange company as well as some of the inherent risks. If you feel strongly about this please do let us know -- we probably won’t be able to change the fees in the short term, but your feedback is welcome and sincerely appreciated.
Shipping Policy & Free Shipping
Orders over $2500.00 in the continental US will qualify for free UPS ground freight. Some orders just wouldn't be economical if we offered free shipping so there are a few items that we cannot include in this deal. *Common items that do not get free shipping are fluorescent bulbs, large trays and media like rock or soil.
When placing an order under $2500, the system will calculate and display the UPS charge for delivery. Backorders do occasionally occur. Your order is charged in full at the time of receipt and then taken to the shipping department. Upon shipping, if an item on your order is on backorder, we will refund the cost of this item. On occasion, we do drop ship from manufacturers located throughout the US.
New Customers - Please be advised that all orders require a signature at delivery.
UPS and Ontrac are our primary shipping methods (alternatives available) and packages are shipped Monday thru Friday. Shipping and handling charges will not be included in determining merchandise subtotal. Items that are not eligible for Free Shipping are subject to shipping charges. Free Shipping offer valid for orders shipping within the 48 contiguous states and does not include 1-day or 2-day shipping and handling charges or previous orders. We only offer shipping to Hawaii and Alaska on a custom quote basis -- those and any other special shipping arrangements may be made by phone at 888-464-1849.
Failure to receive, miss the delivery of, or refusal to accept your shipment does not relieve you from the shipping/handling incurred by your order. This may also include the 15% restocking fee, unless the order is resent and successfully received.
Errors on Our Site
Prices and availability of products and services are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected where discovered, and www.EastWestHydro.com reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including after an order has been submitted and whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, www.EastWestHydro.com will issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge. Individual bank policies will dictate when this amount is credited to your account. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may return it in accordance with www.EastWestHydro.com Return Policy.
All warranties are given by the product manufacturer, only. EastWestHydro.com accepts no responsibility or liability, expressed or otherwise for any manufacturer’s warranty. We will be happy to assist you in obtaining replacement/repair for a product under warranty.
At East West Hydro we want all our customers to be satisfied with their purchase. We offer a 15 day return on all undamaged products when accompanied by a receipt and in original packaging. Used items may not be returned. Returns require an Return Authorization number which can be obtained by e-mailing us directly at email@example.com -- the email should request a return authorization, and must include your order number. Please do not phone-in return requests. After we receive your return request via email, we will send you an email with detailed instructions for your return. We will notify you via e-mail of the status of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item(s). Please be aware that the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, and shipping arrangements of returned items. UPS Ground is recommended. A restocking fee of 20% is charged on all returned merchandise. Items that are received damaged will also require an Return Authorization number before return. Damaged items need to be reported within 24 hours of receiving the items or the return may be denied. Special ordered items that are made to the customer specifications are not returnable. After submitting an item for refund, you can expect to receive your refund within four weeks after you submit a return request, however, in many cases you may receive the refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (4 to 6 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
